Artist Statement
I paint to discover the unexpected—both within myself and on the canvas. Each brushstroke is an invitation to trust the creative process, allowing the journey to unfold with endless surprises. To me, life itself is a creative process, an exploration, and a healing art.
With a BFA in painting, my work has been exhibited across Washington, Oregon, California, and New Mexico. I currently reside in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where I balance my life as both an artist and a Doctor of Oriental Medicine. My dual passions for creativity and healing are deeply intertwined, and I hope that the energy and exploration I bring to my work resonate with those who experience it.

Hi Karen: I’m sorry I didn’t get a chance to talk to you one last time before you left for Colorado! I hope you are enjoying your new home and settling in.
I am interested in buying one of your paintings, but haven’t figured our which one. Do you offer payment plans? ( I may not need one, depending on the cost of the piece.) I’ll let you know when I pick one, and we can go from there.
All is well here, but I miss seeing you for my acupuncture treatment.
